DESCRIPTION

The Rural House "Los Laureles" dates from the 20's and has been recently reformed, it has parts made in stone and a cared decoration. This house has two floors; on the first one you can find the dining-room which has a chimney, the kitchen, a single bedroom, a double bedroom and a bathroom while on the second floor there is a single bedroom and three double bedrooms (two of them with one double bed and the other one with two single beds), two bathrooms, two living-rooms, one of them with access to the balcony and the other one with viewpoint from which you can contemplate the valley. All the bedrooms are big and with an excellent illumination.
Finally, if you like rural tourism and big spaces, there is a big garden, in which you can spend a good time with the barbecue and with your friends, which is surrounded by trees.
Piedrahíta is a town related to the Alba dinasty and it is situated close to the mountains of Gredos. Peña Negra is very close and here, you can paractise several sports such as parachuting, cycling, riding, senderism or just walking. It is also important the hermitage of the "Virgen de la Vega" which was built over a tardo-roman ruins, etc.
EQUIPMENT

The house is equipped with heating for winter and with hot water. There is also a lovely chimney in the dining-room, a TV, a table and chairs for ten people, microwave oven, washing-machine, fridge and freezer, cooker, sink and all the neccesary things to cook and to eat such as dishes, spoons, forks, knives, saucepans,etc. On the other hand, all the bedrooms have a wardrobe, a small table, chairs, the necessary bedclothes and also, one shower towel and one hand towel for each person and other products.
Besides, the house has a cared decoration which includes several antique objects that will help the traveller to understand the history of the house and of the town.

In Piedrahíta you can visit several historic places such as the Palace of the Dukes of Alba, nowadays the school, the church of Santa María la Mayor, the old palace of the queen Berenguela of Castilla and in which there is a museum of ancient liturgic and eclesiastic objects, the ruins of the monastery of Santo Domingo, founded in the year 1,203 thanks to the Dukes of Alba; some members of this family are still buried in the chapel of this monastery which has been reconstructed several times along the history.
The Torreón, ancient muslim tower, the house in which the Duke of Alba D. Fernando Álvarez de Toledo was born, the main square with medieval arcades, the bullring, the convent of the Carmelitas, parts of the medieval wall that surrounded the town and other houses built in stone in which you can see several shields that belonged to the ancient nobilities of the town.
Besides all these things you can also choose a calm walk ejoying the beautiful views of the zone.

Depending on the train we take it will take us between one and two hours to arrive. The travel by train ends in the train station of Ávila so then, we will have to take a bus to go to Piedrahíta.

PIEDRAHÍTA
Piedrahíta is a town with more of 2000 inhabitants placed in the South-West of Ávila. It is surrounded by mountains and it is close to the Corneja river. This town will atonish those people that will come to visit it and it will surprise you with its marvellous views and people.
This town is related to de Alba dinasty and here you can visit monuments such as the Palace of the dukes of Alba, nowadays the school, the ruins of the convent of Santo Domingo, the church of Santa María, the convent of the Carmelitas, the Spain square, the bullring, the house of Gabriel y Galán, the hermitage of the Virgen de la Vega, etc.

- The prices for the weekend correspond to two nights : Thursday and Friday / Friday and Saturday or Saturday and Sunday
- The prices for a week include 7 nights/8 days.
- The prices for a day correspond to one night from Sunday to Thursday and the occupation should not begin or end in weekend.
- The prices for "one more day" will be applied to the added nights of a weekend or of a week.
CANCELLATIONS. If a booking is cancelled between the 15 and 8 days (both included) before the date of arrival, it will be retained a 10% of the total price. If it is cancelled between 7 or less days before the date of arrival, it will be retained a 25% of the total price.

BOOKINGS

To book the house it is necessary to pay the 25% of the total price before the following 72 hours since we are informed that you would like to confirm a booking. This payment must be done in a bank account of which we will give you the number. The rest of the money must be paid in hand in the moment of the arrival to the house.
